Bio for Pastor Scott Blomquist

Scott Blomquist grew up in Geneva, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago).  At the age of 16 he accepted Christ while attending his grandparent’s church in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Scott went back home to being a high school teenager in Geneva and was afraid his friends would not want a “Jesus Freak” around.  The result was Scott followed God on his own terms, which meant he wandered on his own.  Finally after college, God used a significant trial in Scott’s life to open Scott’s eyes to his need for Christ.  After Scott’s rededication he began to live for God.  While working as a tax consultant in downtown Chicago, God began to stir in Scott’s heart about becoming a pastor.  Still young in his faith, Scott prayed and sought out the counsel of wise men of God.  Finally, God opened Scott’s eyes through a unique witnessing opportunity at his accounting firm.  After this event, Scott moved on to seminary.  He attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.  Shortly after beginning seminary in 1997, Scott married his wife Pam.  After finishing seminary, the Lord opened a major door but then closed it.  After waiting on God and allowing him to lead, Grace Baptist Church called in 2002.  Scott then moved to Anaconda, Montana at the end of 2002 to begin his current ministry.  Scott and Pam were blessed with their first son, Thomas Allen Blomquist in 2003, and Noah Scott Blomquist followed in 2004.  Scott and Pam know that God has blessed them with these boys.  And today the ministry of Grace Baptist Church moves forward.  Anaconda is ripe for the harvest and a great harvest is what he and the church are praying for.
